THOMAS D. POINTNER practices in the areas of business law and real property. He advises business law clients in connection with entity selection and formation, asset and equity acquisition and sale, recapitalization and reorganization, ownership succession, and general governance and contract matters.  His real property practice focuses on representing clients in purchase, sale and leasing matters. Mr. Pointner received his B. A. from the University of Michigan in 1967  and his J. D. degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1970, where he  also served as a Legal Writing Instructor.

He is a member of the  Business, Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar  and the Master Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and is a  member of the Jacksonville Bar Association. Mr. Pointner has been engaged in private practice since graduating from law school.  He has maintained an active practice in Florida since relocating to Jacksonville in 2001, and was President of the firm he founded in Michigan until 2010.  He is an active member of The Florida Bar and is an inactive member of the State Bar of Michigan. His extensive and diverse experience in his practice areas provides him with practical insights and effectiveness in assessing and addressing client needs and goals.
