Co-founder of our Firm, Mr. Purcell possessed a shared vision for a different kind of law firm that inspired everyone around him. Mr. Purcell received his B.A. with Honors from the American University School of International Service in 1968 and his J.D. degree with honors from the Marshall Whythe School of Law, College of William and Mary in 1973. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the College of William and Mary Law School Foundation and the Board of Directors of St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Prior to private practice, Mr. Purcell was employed with Office of District Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of the Florida, Virginia and Georgia Bars, and a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association. Social and civic affiliations included the Riverside-Avondale Preservation Association, the Florida Historic Trust Preservation, Clan Donald and the Jacksonville Historic Landmark Commissions.
